Biography

Matthew Marino is a Director of Investments and co-Founder of Nexus Capital. Matthew focus is primary of investment and allocation; as well as, counsel to Nexus Capital’s family of clients in the areas of financial planning, wealth accumulation and wealth transfer.

Prior to forming Nexus Capital, Matthew worked within two specialized and unique careers. The first was with a prominent local real estate developer and the second with the Rochester Institute of Technology. By observing both high-level capital budgeting and institutional money management, Matthew utilizes these skill sets in all aspects of Nexus’s interactions.

Matthew has completed the education component of the Certified Financial Planner certification through the University of Georgia Terry School of Business. He is also a local graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School and the Rochester Institute of Technology (“RIT”) Saunders School of Business. At RIT, Matthew completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Matthew continues to play an active role in the Rochester, N.Y. community. He has volunteered as a mathematics tutor for the Juvenile Offender Drug Court and at the Dmitri House Homeless Shelter. Matthew currently lives with his wife, Domenica, in Victor with their two twin boys. They enjoy spending summers in the Finger Lakes region and winters visiting the Myrtle Beach area.
